Green Valley began as a community project -- the non-profit Green Valley Corporation was organized in 1965 by Groveland and Clermont boosters, and play began July 4, 1966 on former citrus-grove land. It grew to 18 holes (par 72) and welcomes public play. It is a separate facility from Clerbrook.
