Pecan Hollow Golf Course

Est. 1973 · Don January and Billy Martindale (original); Weibring-Wolfard Golf Design (2011 renovation)
Why we love this place

We love Pecan Hollow for its no-nonsense finish. Don January and Billy Martindale gave Plano a classic muni with three long, watery closing par 4s, and the Weibring-Wolfard refresh keeps it in great shape for everyday golfers.

About Pecan Hollow Golf Course

Pecan Hollow opened in 1973 as the Plano Municipal Golf Course, one of the first courses in the fast-growing Plano of the 1970s. Don January and Billy Martindale, fresh from Royal Oaks in Dallas, contracted with the city to design it. After a year-long renovation led by the Plano-based Weibring-Wolfard group, it reopened to the public on November 1, 2011. The original layout is known for a tough finish of par-4s on holes 16-18, each over 445 yards, with water in play.
