Prairie Lakes Golf Course

Est. 1963 · Ralph Plummer (Blue/White nines); John Colligan (Red nine, 2005)
Why we love this place

We love Prairie Lakes for its flexibility and its lake. Twenty-seven holes on the shore of Mountain Creek Lake, with Ralph Plummer's original nines and John Colligan's newer Red nine, give Grand Prairie golfers three ways to play a well-kept municipal track.

About Prairie Lakes Golf Course

Prairie Lakes Golf Course is a City of Grand Prairie municipal facility on Mountain Creek Lake, about 17 miles southwest of Dallas. The original Blue and White nines were designed by Ralph Plummer and date to 1963. A third nine, the Red course, was added in 2005 by architect John Colligan, who also renovated the Blue nine in 2006, making it a 27-hole facility where golfers combine any two nines for an 18-hole round. Water is a defining feature across all three nines.
