Why we love this place
Few public courses hand you three mountain ranges at once, and Androscoggin Valley does it on an easy-walking valley floor. A century-old North Country layout with honest tree-lined holes and a friendly lounge, it is exactly the kind of place that keeps a mountain town playing golf.

About Androscoggin Valley Country Club
Androscoggin Valley Country Club dates to 1922, when an 18-hole course credited to architect Alex Chisolm was laid out in the Androscoggin River valley at Gorham, in New Hampshire's North Country. Set along Route 2 at 2 Main Street, the course takes in views of three mountain ranges: the Presidentials, the Carter-Moriah Range and the Mahoosucs. Because it occupies the valley floor, the layout plays with little elevation change, relying instead on tree-lined fairways and rolling greens for its challenge. It measures about 6,145 yards from the back tees at par 70, with forward tees near 4,950 yards. The club operates as a public course over a spring-to-fall season, and it supports leagues, tournaments and memberships as well as daily play. A driving range, practice putting green, pro shop, cart and club rentals, and a lounge serving food and drink complete the facilities.
