Why we love this place
Barton is a family course through and through, three generations deep in the Northeast Kingdom. Holes with names like Heaven's Bench and Big Dog tell you someone loves this place, and the hilltop setting does the rest. Unpretentious, scenic and fun.

About Barton Golf Club
Barton Golf Club opened in 1990 on Telfer Hill in Barton, in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, with Brian King credited as its designer in course listings. The club describes itself as family owned and operated across three generations. Its 18 holes play to roughly 6,000 yards with a par in the low 70s, and several carry names drawn from local lore. The opener, "Little Dog," is a short dogleg left where cutting the corner brings the "Father & Son" trees into play, and the back nine includes "Gulley," "Big Dog," "Ledges" and "Heaven's Bench." The course has no driving range but offers an indoor practice area and a golf simulator. Barton's season runs from May through October, and walking is permitted.
