Est. 1920 · Ralph Myhre
Why we love this place
A college course that the whole town loves. Middlebury's Ralph Myhre course mixes classic New England holes with fresh improvements, including Ron Prichard's new first hole, and it is kept in fine shape for the Panthers. Great value with Green Mountain scenery.

About Ralph Myhre Golf Course
The Ralph Myhre Golf Course is Middlebury College's 18-hole course, owned and operated by the college and open to the public. Course listings date the layout to 1920 and credit it to Ralph Myhre, whose name the course carries. It is home to Middlebury's men's and women's golf teams and hosts two college invitational tournaments each fall, drawing teams from across the Northeast, and it counts more than 500 local members, about 140 of them students. The course has a long record in state golf as well, hosting the Vermont Amateur in 1983. Recent work has focused on playability: strategic tree removal to open views, major drainage improvements on several greens, new tees, and a full redesign of the first hole and its green complex by golf course architect Ron Prichard, a Middlebury alumnus. A driving range, short-game area and the Tavern on the Tee round out the facility.
