Est. 1973 · Pete Craig
Why we love this place
We love Wild Wood for playing much tougher than the yardage says. Pete Craig's hills, water and bunkers make you think on every tee, and the semi-private club still welcomes daily-fee golfers. A smart-shot course in the quiet country south of Rochester.

About Wild Wood Country Club
Wild Wood Country Club sits on West Rush Road in the Town of Rush, in rural southern Monroe County. GolfPass credits the 18-hole layout to Rochester-area architect Pete Craig and lists 1973 as the year it was built. The course is better known for its terrain than its length: at roughly 6,400 to 6,500 yards from the back tees it carries a slope as high as 146 on GolfPass's card, thanks to elevation changes, water and bunkering that reward placement over power. Listed by the New York State Golf Association as semi-private, the club takes daily-fee play and hosts outings and weddings in a remodeled clubhouse.
