Est. 1925 · Tom Winton
Why we love this place
Westchester's toughest county course, and proud of it. We love Mohansic for its Tom Winton bones, its rolling hills and its small, quick greens, a public layout from the 1920s that still asks every golfer to bring a sharp short game and a little humility.

About Mohansic Golf Course
Mohansic Golf Course is one of six eighteen-hole courses owned by the Westchester County park system, set on Baldwin Road in Yorktown Heights in the northern part of the county. It was designed by Tom Winton, who also laid out the county's Maple Moor course, and was built in 1925, opening for play around 1926. The par-70 layout measures about 6,560 yards from the back tees with a rating of 70.1 and a slope of 124, but those numbers understate the challenge. Rolling hills, moderately steep slopes, tight fairways and small, fast greens have long earned Mohansic a reputation as the most challenging of the county's courses. A driving range rounds out the facility, which remains open to the public at county rates.
