Why we love this place
Rockledge is West Hartford's pride: a well-kept, full-length public eighteen that Hartford Magazine readers voted the area's best public course. Strong conditioning, a busy range and a lively grille make it a complete day of golf just minutes from downtown Hartford.

About Rockledge Golf Club
Rockledge Golf Club is the Town of West Hartford's 18-hole public course, set at 289 South Main Street. Its early history is unclear in the sources available: several course directories date it to 1924, while ForeTee says it first opened for play in 1940, and Al Zikorus is credited as its designer, a credit that may reflect later design work given those dates. Today the town's Leisure Services department runs Rockledge and calls it one of the finest 18-hole public golf courses in the United States. It has been voted Hartford Magazine's Best Public Golf Course and listed among Golf Digest's Best Places to Play. The facility includes a driving range, a golf shop, the Rockledge Grille restaurant and its own starter and tee-time lines, and the town publishes hole-by-hole descriptions to help visitors plan their way around.
