Est. 1975 · Geoffrey Cornish
Why we love this place
We love Crestbrook Park because it's a genuine test hiding in plain sight. Geoffrey Cornish's layout rolls through Litchfield County hills to nearly 6,900 yards, with a muscular front nine that rewards long, straight driving. It's a serious public course at a friendly price, and a good score here feels truly earned.

About Crestbrook Park Golf Club
Crestbrook Park Golf Course sits on Northfield Road in Watertown, in the hills of Litchfield County just north of Waterbury. Its 18-hole layout is credited to Geoffrey Cornish, the prolific New England golf architect, and the club itself gives 1975 as its founding date, although several course directories place the course's opening as early as 1962. Whatever the precise start, Crestbrook has long been one of the sterner public tests in western Connecticut. From the back tees it stretches to roughly 6,900 yards with a course rating above 74 and a slope of 132, and its front nine, at more than 3,600 yards, is notably longer than the back. Bentgrass fairways and greens, a healthy supply of bunkers and water hazards in play put a premium on accurate driving and solid iron play. Operated as a public facility with a driving range, putting green and teaching professional, it hosts leagues, tournaments and special events throughout the season.
