Why we love this place
Oak Lane keeps a classic Geoffrey Cornish routing through the Woodbridge hills and now opens it to everyone. Fresh Capillary Concrete bunkers, honest par fours, and a staff recognized by the state PGA for growing the game make it an easy pick for a New Haven-area round.

About Tradition Golf Club At Oak Lane
The course on Racebrook Road in Woodbridge began life as Oak Lane Country Club, an 18-hole layout designed by Geoffrey Cornish that course directories date to 1961. Set over wooded, rolling ground just west of New Haven, the par-72 course stretches to roughly 6,680 yards. The club was later acquired by the management team behind The Tradition Golf Club at Wallingford, which renamed it The Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane, updated many of its holes while keeping the original challenge, and opened it to public daily-fee play. The operator has kept reinvesting since, adding Capillary Concrete bunkers in 2022 and a grass driving range open to the public for 2026. In 2020 the Connecticut Section PGA named Oak Lane the recipient of its Walter Lowell public golf course award, which honors a public facility for promoting the game.
