Why we love this place
Portland Golf Course is a Geoffrey Cornish layout run with family care for more than fifty years. Rolling, walkable holes in the Connecticut River Valley, greens kept in fine shape, and leagues that make newcomers feel like regulars. Exactly what a hometown public course should be.

About Portland Golf Club
Portland Golf Course sits in the rolling hills of the Connecticut River Valley on Bartlett Street in Portland. Geoffrey Cornish, one of the most prolific architects in New England golf, designed the 18-hole layout, which course listings date to 1974 after construction in 1973. The Kelley family has owned, operated and maintained the course since 1974, keeping it a family-run public facility for more than five decades. Cornish laid out a core routing with returning nines over gently rolling ground, giving the par-71 course tree-lined fairways and varied elevation changes while keeping it a comfortable walk, and the routing lets golfers play it in several different ways. Measuring a little over 6,200 yards from the back tees, the course stays open year-round when weather allows and is home to a weekend men's club, weekday leagues from April through October, and outings of all sizes.
