Why we love this place
Simsbury Farms is a town course done right: a rolling Geoffrey Cornish layout on old orchard land, kept in fine shape and buzzing with leagues, families and night golf. Grab a drink at Birdie and the Barrel afterward and you will want a season pass.

About Simsbury Farms
Simsbury Farms Golf Course opened in 1971 on the former Orkil Farms apple orchard, part of a 235-acre spread of rolling land that the Town of Simsbury developed as a recreation complex. Geoffrey S. Cornish, the prolific New England architect who served as president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects in 1975 and 1976, designed the par-72 eighteen. The course is the centerpiece of what has been called the hub of recreational activity in Simsbury, with a practice range, locker rooms and a restaurant, and season memberships are offered to residents. It supports an active men's club and a Friends of Simsbury Farms group, and it stages community events such as a parent-child nine-hole tournament and a night golf outing each season. Reviewers regularly praise its conditioning, and the rolling orchard-country setting gives the course much of its character.
